“The person who loves their dream of community will destroy community, but the person who loves those around them will create community.”
― Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Life Together: The Classic Exploration of Christian Community

Welcome to the landing page of the Bonhoeffer reading group!

Bonhoeffer’s own words maybe offer some guidance for Lutherans— and, well, everyone— for how to live with integrity in the midst of our political climate, about identifying with the despised and dispossessed, seeking Christ-like solidarity with others. Together, we are gathering for the study of Bonhoeffer’s theology, discipleship, and call to action. As we resource and center the work of Bonhoeffer’s writings in the particularities of this time and place, you will find links to articles, essays, podcasts, and critiques of reinterpretations of Bonhoeffer’s life and writings.
