With joy and gratitude for the call to campus ministry, Pr. Hallie has received a call to serve Hope Lutheran Church in Enumclaw, Washington.
Her last day with the campus ministry will be Friday, July 31st. She welcomes invitations to say farewell.
Students are invited to gather at Luther House on Sunday, July 19th at 6 pm for a farewell dinner. In the summer months, we know students are in many different places. A zoom invitation to gather for a time of sharing, joy, and gratitude will be shared with students.
Finally, campus ministry friends near and far invited to gather in celebration of baptism for students Ceara and Madeleine at Seal Rock on July 26th at 1 pm. Eucharist and picnic will follow. |
The campus ministry board is appointing a call committee made up of students, board members, and local congregational partners.
This committee will guide the process of hiring the next campus ministry leader, who will be an ordained minister of Word and Sacrament or Word and Service in the ELCA, or a minister from a Full Communion partner eligible for call in the ELCA. The committee will provide regular email updates about the call process as it takes shape.
The board is also in conversation with the Oregon Synod of the ELCA, the Episcopal Diocese of Western Oregon, and the national ELCA campus ministry network. These bodies will help advise the call process and provide access to qualified applicants.
As the transition process unfolds, please keep the students, staff, and board of the Lutheran-Episcopal Campus Ministry at Oregon State in your prayers. |
