Pastor Hallie Parkins
Currently, I live in Tacoma, Washington, where I serve as one of the pastors at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church by The Narrows. I came to St. Mark’s after my internship year in Omaha, Nebraska and seminary in Berkeley, CA. St. Mark’s is my first call, and like many first call pastors, ministry has been so different than I could have ever imagined. With joy, I am grateful to have been part of a time in the life of the church that located the gospel quite literally in the world, and grateful to have been part of the movement of the faith community back to in person. In my free time in the summer months of Washington, I love to hike, camp, and backpack with friends in the Olympics and Cascades, and especially Mt. Rainier. As the seasons turn, I look forward to snowshoeing adventures and quieter days spent reading, knitting, and playing cello. In all seasons, I enjoy spending time with my spouse, Nate.

Campus Minister Kristin Young
Hi folks! My name is Kristin, and I am so excited to serve as the Campus Minister at Luther House. I currently also serve as the Youth and Families Minister at Grace Lutheran Church in Corvallis, just down the street from Luther House. Before coming to Oregon, I was on year-round staff at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp in Lakeside, Montana, and also was a teacher and facilitator at Exploration Works, a science museum in Helena, MT. I am passionate about helping people connect with their joy and drive, and linking that to faith. For me, my joy comes from playing and listening to music, exploring the outdoors, reading lots of books at the same time, and learning from video essays. My drive is to seek to make the faith communities I’m part of more welcoming, affirming, and curious.I’m looking forward to getting to know students, faculty, and staff, and to learn more about campus ministry.

Office & Hospitality Coordinator Melissa Clark
Welcome to Luther House! I’m so excited to be a part of this organization in my role as Office & Hospitality Coordinator! I graduated from the University of Oregon, where I was an active member of Alpha Phi Omega and the Wesley Center. Although I’m a Duck, I love the connection I feel with the campus community here at OSU. I live in Albany with my children, Isaac and Kate, and our sassy old man cat, Mr. Meow-Meow. My interests include camping, NCAA sports, Oregon history, and literature.
