Two basic programs anchor every week at Luther House:  an informal “Come-and-Go” lunch every Tuesday and supper with a guided conversation around student-selected themes each Sunday called TableTalk.

Supplementing these two featured programs are many more activities each term. Here's a sample of what else is happening.

Tuesday Come-and-Go Lunch

Tuesdays 11:30am-1:30pm

Tuesday Come-and-Go Lunch is held each Tuesday from 11:30-1:30. Just $2 gets you a good meal and generous conversation. There’s no program. Come and go as your schedule permits..

Sundays 5:30-7:00pm

Martin and Katie Luther were known for the lively conversation around their table. So are we. TableTalk is held weekly at Luther House. A free home-cooked meal is followed by guest presentations, thematic studies, or deep discussions on topics of interest. Please join us.

Weekly Morning Prayer

Mondays, 10:15-10:30am

Imagine candle-light, a brief modern-yet-ancient liturgy, quiet meditation, and spoken petitions for people and places around the world. That's Morning Prayer in the Luther House Upper Room led by our own Ann Blegen. No reservations or experience necessary.

Talks, Lectures, Discussions

Dates and times vary

From time to time Luther House sponsors presentations of interest to the whole university community that bring together themes of faith, science, current events, and the arts.

Service Projects

For the last couple years we’ve been committed to holding two service events each term. They range from neighborhood cleanups, to Habitat for Humanity builds, to assembling Lutheran World Relief school kits, to collecting canned goods for the food bank, to care-of-the-earth projects, and more.

Social Events

Building friendships that last is key to the work of Luther House. Many occasions are provided throughout the year to bring people together around fun, food and celebration. Friday game nights, seasonal parties for Halloween or Epiphany, movie nights, going to a sporting event, or biking or hiking are among the recent successful events.
